A region of unexpected landscapes, from the postcard scenes of the Qu’Appelle Valley to the unusual rock formations of Roche Percee in the Souris Valley. Head for the high country of Moose Mountain, a plateau that rises from the surrounding rolling plains to form an oasis of forest.
The region has excellent parks. Step into the past at Cannington Manor and Last Mountain House Provincial Historic Parks as well as Motherwell Homestead National Historic Park. There’s golfing, fishing, boating, hiking, camping and plenty of beaches at Moose Mountain, Crooked Lake, Katepwa Point, Echo Valley and Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Parks. Major urban centres include Regina, Estevan and Weyburn. Source: Tourism Saskatchewan.
