Job Description

THE CLINICAL COORDINATOR, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MANAGER, IS PRIMARILY ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SYSTEM NAVIGATION AND COORDINATION OF PATIENT FLOW ON THE NURSING UNIT. THIS IS ACHIEVED BY THE COORDINATOR HAVING AN ONGOING AWARENESS AND INVOLVEMENT IN WORKFLOW OF THE UNIT. DUTIES INCLUDE BED MANAGEMENT, DISCHARGE PLANNING, ADVOCATING FOR THE PATIENT/FAMILY, IDENTIFYING SUPPLY AND EQUIPMENT NEEDS AND ASSISTING WITH STAFF SCHEDULING.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Experience
5 YEARS RECENT ACUTE CARE NURSING EXPERIENCE, 3 OF WHICH MUIST BE IN THE SPECIFIC CLINICAL AREA REQUIRED.
