This psychology position will be responsible for the augmentation, continued development and maintenance of clinical/consultation services for adult patients referred to the Clinical Health Psychology. This person will work closely with other members of Clinical Health Psychology in the development and provision of these services. The psychologist will be competent in clinical service provision to adult in-patients and out-patients. Adult patients typically referred will have health problems with a significant psychological component or a health problem which requires psychological intervention to assist in treatment. Clinical service will focus on the delivery of psychological interventions and consultation for adults referred by hospital departments and community agents/resources (e.g. health services, family physicians, other health care providers). In addition, the staff psychologist may provide teaching and supervisory services of psychology practicum students, psychology residents, and other health professionals in training
