Provides for the safety and protection of the facility and grounds, as well as clients, staff and public utilizing the facility.
Required Qualifications
The Security Officer works closely with patients, their caregivers and extended family members in addition to SHR staff and visitors to the facility. The Security Officer regularly interacts with clients with mental health and psychiatric issues as well as with aggressive and/or violent clients. The incumbent must display compassion for the individuals and an ability to remain calm and take charge in stressful and often emotionally escalated situations.
