Job Description

Reporting to the Primary Health Care Manager, under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist, the Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients/patients/residents incorporating best practice and evidence based research. The incumbent will also be responsible for the supervision of students assigned to them.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree from a program that is recognized by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists. Current CPR certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in and knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques based on best practice literature.
  • Ability to engage in program consultation and resource development in conjunction with Senior Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary Primary Health Care Team.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the demands of a busy, high pressure clinical caseloads and workload.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, professional maturity and leadership abilities.

  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
