Five Hills Health Region: C. Beaudoin
"Welcome to Moose Jaw!
I have been living here for 7 months now and I remain in awe of the genuine kindness of the
residents of this city. There could not be a more appropriate slogan for this 'Friendly City.'
I vividly remember the first weeks after my arrival just how helpful and courteous everyone was.
From getting a new driver's licence to finding a new hairdresser, I was greeted with the warmest
welcome. It made for a pleasant transfer and I quickly felt settled in.
I moved here from Hawkesbury, Ontario, which is situated exactly halfway between the busy
cities of Montreal and Ottawa. I am finding Moose Jaw to be a good size city with more than
adequate services. It is an easy 45 minute drive to Regina should you care for additional dining,
shopping and entertainment options.
My experience with the Moose Jaw-Thunder Creek Health District has been consistently positive.
From my initial contact with Human Resources to my daily interactions with colleagues, I have felt
valued as a clinician and as a person. I feel very fortunate to work among such an impressive
group of happy, sincere and professional individuals.
Moose Jaw has made a golfer out of me! The city boasts three well maintained courses. During the
colder months, I enjoy working out at the impeccable facilities of the 15 Wing airbase, home to our Snow Birds.
Last but not least, shortly after my arrival, the new Galaxy Cinemas opened. This was quite to my delight as an
avid moviegoer.
I am very pleased with my decision to relocate to Moose Jaw. I am happy at work . . . and at play.
Sincerely,
C. Beaudoin"

"For the last couple of years, my husband and I had talked about moving out of the city. Soaring cost of
living, crime, our children's education, and safety were all concerns for us.
I answered an advertisement in our local paper looking for nurses to relocate to the Cypress Health Region.
From the call back to the final move everything just seemed to make sense.
Now I work in a new state of the art hospital, in a caring environment, doing what I love. Helping people.
Caring for those who need my help.
The Cypress Health Region not only cares for it's patients, it also cares for it's staff. The CHR
encourages further education for its employees and works to maintain a positive and healthy atmosphere.
My children can play outside in safety. There is a sense of community. Of caring that just seemed missing from
our life.
Our children love it here. We love it here. The air is clean and the people are friendly.
This was the best choice for us.
Susan Resendes, RN"

"Dear friend,
If you are reading this letter it is because you are considering working for the Moose Jaw Thunder Creek Health District. No doubt you have many questions about the city of Moose Jaw and the prairie lifestyle. You likely have questions about the types of services and amenities at your disposal. Well let me begin by saying I also had such questions not so very long ago.
Before I moved to Moose Jaw, I had only heard of the city because of its peculiar name. If you had asked me to locate it on a map, I would have had a tough go at it. I spent most of my formative years in and around the major metropolitan cities of Montreal and Toronto. Moving to a city of this size was daunting to say the least. What I discovered when I arrived was a friendly atmosphere that quickly began to feel like home. For a city of its size it has many amenities of a larger city. With the queen city of Regina only a forty five minutes drive away (which was my morning commute at my previous position) boasting theatre, fine dining, multicultural events and big city shopping, I didn't miss a beat.
Moose Jaw is a city on the rise. In the year and a half that I have been here I have seen considerable growth. It's internationally renown mineral spa has made it a popular vacation spot and tourist attraction. It is a city that will provide the peaceful tranquil lifestyle that we all strive to have. There is almost no traffic to speak of, which for me was a definite plus.
For somebody who spent most of his life within earshot of a big city, I have found Moose Jaw to be a great fit. I look forard to raising a family and spending many years in this community.
Sincerely,
Dr. A. Stationwala, B.Sc., D.Ch.
