More About Mamawetan Churchill River . . . |
The Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region provides service to over 21,000 residents in the north-east area of Saskatchewan. Geographically, it is the largest Saskatchewan health region, covering nearly 25% of the entire province. We celebrate the rich northern heritage of the communities located among the lakes, rivers and forests of the Pre Cambrian Shield. Diversity is our strength and we have engaged in many partnerships to realize our mission of working together in wellness to promote, enhance and maintain quality of life.
Almost 300 staff work in facilities in the communities of Creighton, La Ronge, Pinehouse, Sandy Bay and Weyakwin. The region has been accredited by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation. This means the region has met national standards of quality for health services set by the Council.
