Forensic Pathologist - Regina, Saskatchewan
Job Description:
The Office of the Chief Coroner, Ministry of Justice and Attorney General is seeking a fulltime forensic pathologist to provide autopsy services in a hospital based setting in Regina, Saskatchewan. Working under the direction of the Chief Forensic Pathologist, located in Saskatoon, the incumbent will provide high quality forensic pathology service to coroners, police, crown attorneys, lawyers and courts in Saskatchewan.
Qualified candidates must have a medical degree from a recognized university, certification in general or anatomic pathology, Board Certification in forensic pathology or enrolled in a forensic pathology fellowship. The candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Office of the Chief Coroner investigates approximately 1600 deaths per year. Approximately 300 autopsies are completed annually in this location.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a medical degree from a recognized university and be licensed or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. The candidate must have training in general or anatomical pathology and have Board Certification in forensic pathology.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range is $253,980 - $292,620 per annum plus attractive benefits package. The successful candidate may be eligible for a sign on bonus and/or grant. Relocation assistance provided.
